In 2025, we once again had the privilege of orchestrating the SJA British Sports Journalism Awards, a prestigious event that celebrates the pinnacle of sports journalism in the UK throughout the previous year (2024).

A Night to Remember

Held on March 24, 2025, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London, the awards ceremony was a grand affair, attended by a record over 750 guests, including some of the most prominent figures in sports media. The evening was hosted by the esteemed Jim White and Reshmin Chowdhury, who guided attendees through a night of celebration and recognition.

Among the notable winners were:

Barney Ronay of The Guardian, who received both Columnist of the Year and Popular Culture Commentator of the Year awards.
Suzanne Wrack, continuing her success from the previous year, clinched Best Women's Sport Journalist for the second consecutive time.
Kelly Cates was honoured as Presenter of the Year, while Roy Keane claimed the Pundit of the Year award.
David Ornstein of The Athletic won the John Bromley Trophy for Sportswriter of the Year .

Embracing New Media: YouTube, Creators & Digital Storytelling

One of the defining features of this years awards was the SJA’s recognition of how the media landscape continues to evolve—and our support in showcasing that shift. For the first time, the awards embraced non-traditional platforms by expanding categories and coverage to include YouTube and content creator categories.

This year’s event celebrated the growing influence of video storytelling with nods to creators who built followings by delivering authentic, insightful, and often behind-the-scenes perspectives across social platforms.

The response from guests and online viewers alike confirmed what we’ve long believed: audiences want storytelling that spans formats, styles, and platforms.

Our Role in the Success
